Netanyahu's Office Releases Video of Arab Leaders Attacking Iran at Closed Meeting

The YouTube channel of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video from the Warsaw conference on the Middle East, showing Arab leaders blasting Iran as a "toxic" state and a major regional issue at a closed session of the summit

TEL AVIV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th February, 2019) The YouTube channel of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video from the Warsaw conference on the middle East, showing Arab leaders blasting Iran as a "toxic" state and a major regional issue at a closed session of the summit.

"We grew up talking about the Israeli-Palestinian dispute as the most important issue ... But then, at the later stages, we saw a bigger challenge, a more toxic one, the most toxic in our modern history, which came from the Islamic Republic of Iran," Bahraini Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was shown as saying at the video.

The minister also claimed that Iran was a "neofascist regime," adding that Tehran was hampering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other regional crises from being settled.

Netanyahu was seen among the officials attending the session.

Another official speaking in the video and expressing his anti-Iran position was former Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir, who is currently the kingdom's minister of state for Foreign Affairs.

The video was subsequently taken down, however, it is still available on the websites of a number of local media outlets.

Netanyahu's press service has not immediately responded to Sputnik on the circumstances of the publication of the video.

It is still unclear if the release of the video was in line with the rules of the conference or if it was coordinated with other participants of the summit.

The two-day US-backed global ministerial meeting on the Middle East was held in the Polish capital on Wednesday and Thursday. The conference addressed such issues as terrorism and extremism, missile proliferation, security and stability in the Middle East.

Netanyahu, who is known for his anti-Iranian stance, said on Wednesday that the summit, which brought together Israel and Arab states that do not have diplomatic relations with the country, was dedicated to countering Iran.
