Russia and the CAR in August 2018 signed an intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation.
Under the deal, a center was established in the republic in Berengo, where soldiers, with the assistance of Russian instructors, are trained to handle weapons and learn combat techniques.
"If necessary, this center in Berengo may also be expanded, because it has already proven its effectiveness as a training platform. As of this month, 1,300 soldiers of our army have already been instructed and trained in Berengo," Koyara said.
