MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th January, 2019) Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union Maros Sefcovic on Wednesday confirmed that a trilateral meeting on gas of Russia, Ukraine and the European Union would be held in Brussels on January 21.
Earlier in the day, a source told Sputnik that a trilateral ministerial meeting on gas would take place in Brussels on January 21.
"Pleased that the 2nd round of political trilateral talks with #Russia and #Ukraine on the long-term transit of #gas to Europe will take place in Brussels on 21 Jan. The meeting will build on the progress achieved during previous political & expert rounds," Sefcovic said on Twitter.
A previous trilateral meeting on gas transit was held in July.
