Over 70% of Russians Get News From TV - Poll
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd November, 2018) For the majority of Russians - more than 70 percent - television is the main source of information, a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) revealed on Friday.
As much as 71 percent of those participating in the survey said they got their news from the television, while 43 percent preferred news websites.
According to the poll, 19 percent said their sources of news were forums, blogs and social media, while 14 percent responded that they preferred to read magazines and newspapers.
At the same time, 45 percent assessed professional skills of Russian journalists as average, the survey showed.
The poll was conducted on November 17-18 among 1,500 respondents in 53 constituent entities of Russia.
