Kiev Fuels Hysteria Ahead of Elections by Passing Law on Illegal Border Crossing - Moscow
The Ukrainian authorities continue to escalate tension ahead of the presidential; elections by passing a law imposing criminal liability for illegal crossing of the state border by Russian citizens, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th November, 2018) The Ukrainian authorities continue to escalate tension ahead of the presidential; elections by passing a law imposing criminal liability for illegal crossing of the state border by Russian citizens, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
According to the spokeswoman, the legislation enables Kiev to bring charges against any person.
"We consider this yet another attempt of Kiev to continue to fuel the anti-Russian hysteria in the country ahead of the presidential elections under the far-fetched pretext of protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Zakharova told a briefing.
