Next Crew to Be Launched to ISS on December 3 - Roscosmos

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st October, 2018) The next crew will be launched to the International Space Station (ISS) on December 3, while the return of the current expedition is slated for December 20, Sergey Krikalev, the executive director of manned space programs at Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos, said on Wednesday.

"The next crew is planned a little bit earlier ... now the industry is making significant efforts to shift the launch of the ship to December 3, and landing [of the current expedition] is expected somewhere around December 20," Krikalev said at the ceremony marking the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the Russian academy of Sciences' Institute of Biomedical Problems.

The official added that the Progress MS-20 cargo spacecraft would be launched to the ISS on November 16.

"The launch of the Progress cargo spacecraft, which was slated for October 30, was postponed until November 16 due to additional examinations of a launch vehicle that had to be carried out," Krikalev said.
