Lavrov Reaffirms to Muallem Russia's Commitment to Syria's Territorial Integrity - Moscow
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in a conversation with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem, confirmed Moscow's commitment to the territorial integrity of Syria and a determined set to completely eliminate terrorism in that country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th September, 2018) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in a conversation with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem, confirmed Moscow's commitment to the territorial integrity of Syria and a determined set to completely eliminate terrorism in that country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday.
"Lavrov reaffirmed the Russian side's commitment to the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and a decisive set to completely eliminate the hotbed of international terrorism in that country," the ministry said after the talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
It said Lavrov and Muallem spoke for the lifting of illegal unilateral sanctions that affect civilians from Syria.
