Budapest, Russian Helicopters Discussing Choppers' Assembly in Hungary - Foreign Ministry

Budapest and the Russian Helicopters company are discussing the assembly of choppers and ship manufacturing in Hungary, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th September, 2018) Budapest and the Russian Helicopters company are discussing the assembly of choppers and ship manufacturing in Hungary, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday.

"We are discussing with the Russian Helicopters company the assembly of helicopters in Hungary.

We are also discussing the manufacturing of ships in Hungary as well as the development of agricultural machinery engineering," Szijjarto said at a meeting with First Deputy Speaker of Russia's Federation Council Nikolai Fedorov.

The Hungarian minister added that the Russian-Hungarian trade amounted to $5.5 billion last year, stressing the need to reach $10 billion.

The Russian Helicopters company said in August last year that it had finished the overhaul of four Mi-17 military helicopters for the Hungarian Defense Ministry under the contract sealed in July 2016.
