MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th August, 2018) The Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, will back the proposals of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the changes to Russia's pension legislation, the relevant package of laws will be reviewed until the end of the year, Valery Ryazansky, the head of the Federation Council's committee on social policy, told Sputnik.

The Russian president proposed to set retirement age at 60 for women and 65 for men.

"The Federation Council will support the proposals of the Russian president on changes to the pension legislation, the parliament will consider the relevant package of laws until the end of the year," Ryazansky said.
