Over 700 Inmates in UAE Granted Amnesty Ahead of Eid Al Adha Holiday - Reports
DUBAI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th August, 2018) President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a decree granting amnesty to 704 inmates on the occasion of the upcoming Muslim holiday Eid Al Adha, local media reported on Monday.
According to the Emirates news Agency (WAM), the president also paid the prisoners' fines.
Media reported last week that public sector workers in the UAE would get a week of holidays.
