MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd May, 2019) All four rockets that militants fired on May 22 toward the Hmeimim air base in Syria were destroyed, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Thursday.

"Around 19:00, militants fired four rockets from a multiple launch rocket system in the direction of the Hmeimim air base.

All rockets were promptly detected by Russian air defense systems and destroyed," it said, adding that a precision strike by Russian combat jets destroyed the militants' launcher in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

The ministry said militants trying to capture Syria's Kafr Nabudah since May 22, lost two tanks, three multiple launch rocket systems and over 140 people.

It said terrorists' drones dropped five bombs on the Zara power plant in Syria, causing minor damage to the plant; nobody was injured in the attack.
