Foreign Ministry receives credentials of UN Resident Coordinator to UAE

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2019) Yacoub Yousef Al Hosani, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Organisations Affairs, has received a copy of the credentials of Dr. Dena Assaf, United Nations Resident Coordinator to the UAE.

Al Hosani wished the UN official success in her role in enhancing relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United Nations.

He stressed that the relations between the UAE and the UN are developing in all areas, especially in the field of development and humanitarian cooperation with the United Nations and its affiliated organisations.

For her part, Dr. Assaf conveyed the greetings of Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

She expressed her pleasure at representing the United Nations in the UAE and hoped that relations between the UAE and the UN will witness further development and progress at various levels.
