Seatrade brings Offshore Marine community to UAE Maritime Week

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2019) UAE Maritime Week 2019, to be held from 22nd to 26th September, will include three major events, including Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats, Seatrade Shiptech, and Seatrade Maritime Awards middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the week of activities will also include associated shipping and maritime events and the popular Dubai Maritime Agenda, a Dubai Maritime Cluster Office biennial event.

Many of the week’s activities will be held around the Madinat Jumeirah, starting with the Dubai Maritime Agenda on 22nd September and the Seatrade Maritime Awards the same evening. Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats Middle East will take place from 23rd-24th September, co-locating with Seatrade Shiptech Middle East, also at the Madinat Jumeirah.

According to Chris Morley, Event Director, Seatrade Maritime, Informa Markets, the decision to align Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats Middle East with UAE Maritime Week was to ensure it was part of this important industry week, held alongside other Seatrade events.

"The Seatrade brand has long supported the maritime industry in the region, and we are delighted to be working again with the Dubai Maritime City Authority and the Dubai Maritime Cluster Office to bring several world-class events to this critical week."

Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats Middle East will comprise a world-class exhibition, alongside a comprehensive conference programme with a list of internationally influential speakers.

It was recently announced that UAE Maritime Week, organised by the Dubai Maritime City Authority, DMCA, would take place annually, reiterating the significance of the Emirates on the global map.

"The decision to organise UAE Maritime Week every year, instead of every two years, represents an important step towards promoting Dubai and the UAE’s successful maritime experience on the global stage," said Amer Ali, Executive Director of DMCA.
