MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th April, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with France's special representative for relations with Russia, Jean-Pierre Chevenement, following a meeting with French businesspeople later on Thursday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
In the afternoon, Putin is scheduled to meet with representatives of leading French companies.
"These are the members of the Economic Council of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce. You know, he met with them earlier, the latest such meeting took place a couple of years ago [at the presidential residence] in Novo-Ogaryovo. Then, Putin will separately talk with the French government's special representative for relations with Russia, Chevenement," Peskov told reporters.
He added that French businesses were actively represented in the Russian market, "despite all the vicissitudes of the international economic atmosphere."
