Major reshuffling in Pakistan embassies in world countries in the offing

Following the appointment of Sohail Mehmood as foreign secretary decision has been taken to carry out massive reshuffling in Pakistan embassies in world countries

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 16th April, 2019) Following the appointment of Sohail Mehmood as foreign secretary decision has been taken to carry out massive reshuffling in Pakistan embassies in world countries.

Well placed sources of foreign office said following the induction of Pakistan high commissioner in India Sohail Muhammad as foreign secretary, it has been decided to reshuffle Pakistan ambassadors in India, China, France and other countries.

According to sources decision has been taken to change Masood Khalid, Pakistan ambassador in China and appoint former foreign secretary Tahmina Janjua as ambassador in Beijing by granting extension in service to her.

Like wise it has been decided to appoint Pakistan ambassador in Abu Dhabi and UAE Moazzam Ahmad Khan as high commissioner in India in place of Sohail Mehmood.

Decision has also been taken to appoint Dr Muhammad Faisal, incumbent foreign office spokesperson as high commissioner in Bangla Desh.

Earlier Bangla Desh has refused to accept Saqlain Syeda , Pakistan nominated high commissioner to Bangla DeshIt has also been decided to reshuffle Pakistan ambassador in Brussels Naghmana Hashmi and appoint her ambassador in Paris, France.

Director General Economic Coordination and Islamic Cooperation Division Atta ul Munim Shahid is being inducted as high commissioner in South Africa.Imtiaz Ahmad, Special secretary Asia is being appointed as Pakistan ambassador in Japan wherein the post of ambassador is lying vacant since long.

Sources disclosed that Khalil Ullah, Pakistan ambassador in Moscow is also being reshuffled.It is pertinent to mention here that all of them are career diplomats.
