Media coverage banned for intermediate exams in Karachi

The chairman of the board said that the curbing cheating practices during exams is the responsibility of the board and not the media.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 14th April, 2019) The Board of Intermediate education, Karachi has banned media coverage of annual intermediate exams 2019.

According to media reports, the media coverage of intermediate board exams has been banned in Karachi following reports of massive cheating during Matric exams were aired on media.

The 2019 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Part I and II will begin in Karachi on April 15 and continue till May 9.

Over 215,800 students will appear in the exams.

The chairman of the board said that the curbing cheating practices during exams is the responsibility of the board and not the media.

Meanwhile, the board has so far not been able to take any measures to stop the cheating at various centres in Sindh.

A total of 188 centres have been established for the intermediate examinations of 2019, media reports said.

Section 144 will be imposed around the examination centres during the exams.
