MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) The first mass-produced Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft will be delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces next week, Russian aircraft manufacturer Ilyushin said Thursday.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov earlier said that the Aviastar-SP aircraft plant (an Ilyushin subsidiary) in 2018 disrupted the state defense order by failing to deliver three Il-76MD-90A to the Aerospace Forces.
"The IL-76MD-90A has, indeed, not been delivered to the military since 2014. The first mass- production aircraft is ready now. The delivery of this plane to the Aerospace Forces is scheduled for next week," the Ilyushin press service said.
