Kazakhstan to Become Compliant With OPEC-Non-OPEC Deal in March - Minister

HOUSTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th March, 2019) Kazakhstan will become compliant with its obligations under the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)-non-OPEC deal to reduce oil production later in March, Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said on Tuesday, adding that in April the country would even manage to overfulfil its commitments.

"In March, we will meet [our obligations under the deal], roughly speaking, in April, we will overfulfil them 2.5 times and even greater in May," Bozumbayev stated.

He added that the oil production would be reduced step by step by almost 200,000 barrels of oil per day starting in March.
