Russian LNG Exports Double in January Year-on-Year - Customs Agency

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th March, 2019) Russia increased its exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) twofold in January to 5.4 million cubic meters (190.7 million cubic feet) year-on-year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said on Thursday.

Russian exports of natural gas fell by 10 percent to 18.

3 billion cubic meters over the same period, the FCS added.

Russia's revenues from LNG exports also doubled, reaching $750.8 million, while proceeds from natural gas exports during the given period rose by 10.1 percent to $4.46 billion.

In 2018, Russia exported 220.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, earning $49.1 billion in revenue, while LNG exports totaled 36.7 million cubic meters worth $5.3 billion.
