Abdullah bin Zayed receives OIC FMs

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Friday a number of Foreign Ministers, who are taking part in the 46th Session of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation's Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM)

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 02nd Mar, 2019) H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Friday a number of Foreign Ministers, who are taking part in the 46th Session of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation's Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM).

Sheikh Abdullah received Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister of India, as well as the Foreign Ministers; Ayman Al Safadi of Jordan, Teodor Melescanu of Romania, Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo of Gabon, Beibut Atamkulov of Kazakhstan and Aidarbekov Chyngyz of Kyrgyzstan.

He also received the Foreign Ministers; Abdulaziz Khafizovich of Uzbekistan, Dr Alie Kabba of Sierra Leon, Sirojiddin Muhriddin of Tajikstan, and Salahuddin Rabbani of Afghanistan.

Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the OIC Foreign Ministers attending the 46th CFM session and empahsised UAE's keenness to strengthen ties with their respective countries in all fields.

He also referred to the UAE's keenness to enhance the role of the OIC as an international organisation working towards global peace and security.

He added that during the past 50 years, the Organisation has been playing a pivotal role in addressing the challenges facing the Islamic world and in promoting a unified message of peace and stability among the members states.

The OIC Foreign Ministers expressed their appreciation to the UAE's unlimited support to the OIC and underlined the importance of this session and its outcomes for the future of the Organisation.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah and Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon, signed agreements on avoidance of double taxation and on promoting investments, as well as two Memorandums of Understanding of etsablishing a joint commission and on poliitical consultations.

The meetings were attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
