CPSP elects Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal as Senior Vice President

According to the notification, Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry has been elected as the president. Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal has been elected as Senior Vice President while Prof. Syed Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi has been elected as the Vice President who will also serve as the treasurer until further orders.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 1st March, 2019) The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has elected its president and vice president. A notification has been issued in this regard. The notification stated the result of the election of office bearers and two members of executive and finance committees. According to the notification, Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry has been elected as the president. Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal has been elected as Senior Vice President while Prof. Syed Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi has been elected as the Vice President who will also serve as the treasurer until further orders. Besides, Prof. Waqar Alam Jan and Prof. Ghulam Mujtaba have been elected as executive members of CPSP. Major General Prof. Mazhar Ishaq and Prof. Shahid Pervez have been elected as Finance Committee Members under Section 13.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal is the Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University. The government of Pakistan has awarded him with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his services. Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal has MBBS, FCPS, FRCS, FACS and MCPS (HPE) degrees. He has won the recent CPSP election against his rival group with a clean sweep.

Exclusively speaking to UrduPoint anchorperson Dr Affan Qaiser after winning the election, Prof. Gondal expressed his gratitude to Allah for his victory. He said that he won the election because of the hard work of his team. He vowed to work for the doctors of the country and to play an important role in Pakistan’s development.
