MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th February, 2019) Four Syrian towns in the western Aleppo and Hama provinces came under militant fire over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a bulletin published after a daily briefing on Thursday.

"Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Over the past day, from the Idilb de-escalation zone terrorists have attacked Zakhabia, Krah ad Hara in Aleppo province as well as Achan in Hama province," the ministry said.

Separately, the Russian Defense Ministry's center for Syrian reconciliation estimated that 222,034 Syrian refugees had returned home through a dozen checkpoints as of this Wednesday.

Refugees eligible to be drafted as well as former members of illegal armed groups are being given amnesty at the order of President Bashar Assad. A total of 52,750 people have been pardoned, according to the center's newest figures.
