Lukashenko Joins Meeting of Putin, Rouhani, Erdogan in Sochi - Kremlin

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko joined late on Thursday the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said

SOCHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th February, 2019) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko joined late on Thursday the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"[Putin foresaw] such a possibility that Lukashenko could also communicate with the colleagues, using the opportunity of the stay here in Sochi at the same time ... This is not related to the Astana format. They just took advantage of the fact that they are all together in the same city," Peskov said.

The Russian, Turkish, Iranian presidents gathered earlier in the day in Sochi to discuss peace process in Syria.
