Finland Doing Everything Possible to Keep Russia as Member of Council of Europe - Speaker

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th January, 2019) The parliamentary delegation of Finland in the Council of Europe is committed to preserving Russia's membership in the organization, Finnish Parliament Speaker Paula Risikko said Tuesday.
"Cooperation in the Council of Europe is an important form of cooperation between our countries.
It would be very regrettable if Russia no longer was a member of the Council of Europe... The Finnish delegation of the Council of Europe is very active and is committed to doing everything possible so that the problem can be solved through diplomacy and Russia can stay a member of the Council of Europe," the official said at the meeting with Russian lower house speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
