Poroshenko Declares Dividends of Around $20Mln From Rothschild Trust - Ukrainian Registry
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has declared dividends of 556.7 million hryvnias (around $20 million) from Swiss-base Rothschild Trust Schweiz AG, which operates the president's confectionery corporation, information released by the Ukrainian united registry of declarations of persons showed.
KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th December, 2018) Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has declared dividends of 556.7 million hryvnias (around $20 million) from Swiss-base Rothschild Trust Schweiz AG, which operates the president's confectionery corporation, information released by the Ukrainian united registry of declarations of persons showed.
Poroshenko declared an income of 186.7 million hryvnias for 2018, which is 11.5 times more money than he declared in 2017.
Roshen is one of the largest producers of sweet goods in the world, producing 450,000 tonnes of product annually.
The corporation has factories in Ukraine, Lithuania, Hungary and Russia.
During his campaign in the previous election, Poroshenko, who owns the corporation, promised to sell the main share of the company if he won. He claimed that he had transferred the ownership rights of his share to a blind trust after he took office. However, his share has yet to be sold because Rothschild Trust, which manages the selling procedures, claims that a buyer cannot be found due to the ongoing conflict in Donbas.
