US Senate Passes Resolution Calling to End Military Support to Saudi-Led Campaign in Yemen
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th December, 2018) The US Senate adopted a resolution on Thursday urging to stop the military support for the Saudi-led campaign in Yemen.
The resolution passed in a 59 to 41 vote.
Yemen has been gripped by a civil war with the government headed by Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi fighting the Houthi movement.
The government is backed by the Saudi-led coalition, which has been carrying out airstrikes targeted at the areas controlled by the Houthis since March 2015.
