Sharjah Consultative Council discusses SSC’s policy

(Pakistan Point News - 03rd Dec, 2018) SHARJAH, 3rd December, 2018 (WAM) – Chairperson, Khawla Abdulrahman Al Mulla, held the fourth ordinary session of the ninth legislative chapter of the Sharjah Consultative Council on Thursday, where the council discussed the policy of the Sharjah Sports Council, SSC.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the SSC, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Secretary-General of the SSC, Nada Askar Al Naqbi, SSC ‘s member, and several other representatives and dignitaries.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed the policy of the SSC, as well as various topics and issues aiming at improving the mechanism of work and boosting cooperation with the Ministry of education.

The members also discussed the sports budget in the emirate of Sharjah, which amounted to AED461 million this year, with a variety of programmes to boost the development of 21 clubs in the emirate.

Al Mulla stressed the council’s keenness to support the SSC, highlighting its importance and vital tasks in promoting the sports movement in the Emirate and developing more youth programmes and activities.

During the meeting, Al Mulla praised the continuous support and efforts of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.

Sheikh Saqr expressed his pleasure at discussing various sports topics with the SCC, achieving the vision of Dr Sheikh Sultan.

Sheikh Saqr added that Sharjah has exerted great efforts at all levels to promote youth development and to increase the attention on youth.
