Sidhu took along with him the soil of the fields where Baba Guru Nanak used to plough

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 1st December, 2018) Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu who came to Pakistan to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur border corridor took along with him some precious gifts along with immense love and gratitude.

Sidhu took along with him the soil of the fields where Baba Guru Nanak used to plough. Sidhu said that he wouldn’t tell where he would use this soil.

Other than that, Sidhu carried some sugarcanes reaped in the fields adjacent to the Gurdwara and three sheets laid on the grave of Baba Guru Nanak for his wife.

For his father, he took along a Peshawari chappal made of tilla.

Sidhu also took a partridge bird from Pakistan to India along with him to gift Punjab Chief Minister Captain (R) Amarinder Singh.

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday for inauguration ceremony of the Kartapur Border corridor, as a guest.

This was Sidhu's second visit to Pakistan this year. Navjot Singh Sidhu also made his way to Pakistan this year for PM Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony.

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Sidhu urged India and Pakistan to change old mindset to usher in a new era of welfare and prosperity for the people on both sides of the border.

Expreesing his gratitude for the historic decision to open borders for the Sikh pilgrims, he thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and his counterpart Narendra Modi for making the dream of Kartarpur border a reality.
