Number of Injured by Militants' Chlorine Bombing in Syria's Aleppo Up to 107 - Reports

DAMASCUS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th November, 2018) The number of civilians injured in a militants' attack with presumably chlorine-filled shells at the residential areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo has reached 107 people, local media reported on Sunday, citing medical sources.

On Saturday, militants from terrorist groups fired shells, presumably chlorine-filled, at neighborhoods of al-Khalidiye and Al Zahraa as well as at the Nile Street.

Sources in al-Razi Hospital and the Aleppo University Hospital told the SANA news agency that 107 civilians, suffering from asphyxiation, had been admitted to them.

Some of the injured individuals have been taken to intensive care units.

There are at least four children among those hospitalized.

Aleppo was liberated by the Syrian government troops from militant and terror groups in 2016, but militants continue to shell the city from their positions in the city's suburbs.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on October 31 that the terrorists of the Islamic Party of Turkestan (banned in Russia) had transferred 20 tanks with 10 liters of chlorine each to Syria on October 27 to carry out provocations.
