UK's May Rejects Resigning Over Brexit Deal
LONDON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th November, 2018) UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Thursday she would see the country through Brexit after she was asked by reporters if she would fight a no confidence vote in her.
"Leadership is about taking the right decisions, not the easy ones.
As prime minister, my job is to bring back a deal that delivers on the vote of the British people... I believe this is a deal which does deliver that. Am I going to see this through? Yes," she said at 10 Downing Street.
A group of 50 rebellious Conservative lawmakers have called for a no confidence vote in her as leader of the ruling party after the government unveiled the terms of UK's withdrawal from the European Union. Several ministers and deputies left in protest.
