Russian Helicopters plans to showcase the first prototype of the VRT500 helicopter in 2020, the firm's CEO, Andrey Boginsky, said Thursday.
ZHUHAI (China) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 08th November, 2018) Russian Helicopters plans to showcase the first prototype of the VRT500 helicopter in 2020, the firm's CEO, Andrey Boginsky, said Thursday.
"In the segment of light single-engine machines, there is the VTR500.
We have only presented the model, but we have set ourselves the goal of trying to demonstrate the prototype in 2020," Boginsky told reporters on the sidelines of the AirShow China exhibition.
The VTR500 helicopter will have several modifications � passenger, multirole, cargo, training, VIP and sanitary. Its cruise speed stands at 225 kilometers per hour (about 140 miles per hour), while the payload amounts to 730 kilograms (1,609 Pounds). The aircraft will be able to carry up to five people.
The 2018 China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition started in the city of Zhuhai on Tuesday and will last through Sunday.
