KhalifaSat fulfils Zayed’s dream, says Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 29th Oct, 2018) Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has said that KhalifaSat fulfils Zayed’s dream, and it is a historic day for the UAE.

Congratulating the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Science Centre, MBRSC, and all its employees for their great efforts and their keenness to raise the name of the nation high, Maj-Gen Al Marri added that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's dream, when he met the engineers and experts of the US space agency, NASA, in 1967, was achieved this year by the nation's youth who love their country.

He added, "Dubai Police General HQ would like to offer their heartfelt greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of Emirates, and UAE residents on the successful launch of the UAE-engineered satellite KhalifaSat.

"This is a historic and national day in which the children of Zayed are proud to enter the era of space industries and we are proud to be the first Arab country to manufacture a satellite equipped with latest smart technologies," Al Marri went on to say.

He noted that this achievement is now added to the proud record of the UAE, a record full of remarkable achievements in all fields perusing latest sciences and technologies in serving humanity.

The Emirati-built satellite was successfully launched earlier today from the Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan.
