ALROSA Considering Direct Sales of Cut Diamonds to Saudi Arabia - CEO
Russia's ALROSA diamond mining company is considering the possibility of sales of cut diamonds to Saudi Arabia and is discussing it with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), ALROSA CEO Sergey Ivanov told Sputnik.
RIYADH (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th October, 2018) Russia's ALROSA diamond mining company is considering the possibility of sales of cut diamonds to Saudi Arabia and is discussing it with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), ALROSA CEO Sergey Ivanov told Sputnik.
The company's head held a meeting with then authorities' representatives on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, which he attended as part of the Russian delegation led by Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) CEO Kirill Dmitriev.
"We have exchange views with the SAGIA on existing opportunities in Saudi Arabia. SAGIA promised us to arrange for contacts with the jewelry business, with reliable reputable chains of jewelry shops, they may have an interest in buying cut diamonds," Ivanov said.
