"General License No. 2E, dated April 27, 2018, is replaced and its entirety by this General License No.2F," the notice from Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control said.

The new license will allow the nine companies to continue engaging in certain transactions until October 25, 2019, the notice said. The affected companies are Belarusian Oil Trade House; Belneftekhim, Belneftekhim USA, Inc.

; Belshina OAO; Grodno Azot OAO; Grodno Khimvolokno OAO; Lakokraska OAO; Naftan OAO; and Polotsk Steklovolokno OAO.

The new license will allow the companies to deal with American businesses without violating sanctions imposed on Belarus in June 2016.

US persons involved in any transactions with the nine entities in excess of $50,000 are required to file a report on the nature and scope of their activities with the US State Department within 30 days, the notice said.
