Talks Between De Mistura, Damascus on Syrian Settlement 'Frank, Intense' - Statement
UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura had an open and earnest discussion on the Syrian settlement with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moualem in Damascus and pledged to brief UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the results of the talks, de Mistura's press service said on Wednesday
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura had an open and earnest discussion on the Syrian settlement with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moualem in Damascus and pledged to brief UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the results of the talks, de Mistura's press service said on Wednesday.
"They had a frank and intense exchange of views in a cordial atmosphere," the press service said.
The envoy will report to Guterres and the UN Security Council on the talks results, the statement added.
