MINSK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) The West is enhancing military mobility to provide swift movement of the US forces throughout Europe, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Wednesday.
"Tensions are growing due to the West's efforts to increase military mobility, the ultimate goal of which is to ensure the rapid movement of US troops and forces across Europe," Shoigu said at a joint meeting of Russian and Belorussian defense ministries.
According to the minister, coordinating centers and advanced airfields have been set up, seaports have been modernized and a system for prior storage of equipment and weapons will be created in the Baltic states and Eastern European countries to organize accommodation and deployment of reinforcements.
