Roscosmos, NASA Discuss Rogozin's Possible Trip to US - Press Service

Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos has indeed discussed with NASA a possible trip of the Russian agency's chief Dmitry Rogozin, who is targeted by US sanctions, to the United States in order to discuss further cooperation, Roscosmos press service head Vladimir Ustimenko told Sputnik.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th October, 2018) Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos has indeed discussed with NASA a possible trip of the Russian agency's chief Dmitry Rogozin, who is targeted by US sanctions, to the United States in order to discuss further cooperation, Roscosmos press service head Vladimir Ustimenko told Sputnik.

Earlier in the day, media reported that the US presidential administration had decided to lift sanctions against Rogozin to enable him to travel to the United States at the invitation of NASA.

.. Indeed, issues of cooperation require personal presence, therefore these issues were discussed," Ustimenko said, when asked whether there was an agreement on the Roscosmos chief's trip to the United States.

The official noted that Roscosmos had not yet received any official documents confirming that sanctions against Rogozin were lifted.

"We have not received any official documents yet. We do not know. The Foreign Ministry did not tell us anything. Therefore, we are not commenting yet," Ustimenko said.
