Chinese, Russian Foreign Ministries to Hold Bilateral Talks on Africa Soon - Beijing

BEIJING (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th October, 2018) Moscow and Beijing have agreed to hold bilateral consultations on the situation on the African continent and bilateral cooperation in the region in Moscow in the near future, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's press service told Sputnik on Thursday.

"Under the agreement between the Chinese and Russian sides, the parties will hold their first consultations at the level of the departments of Africa in Moscow in the near future," the press service said.

The foreign ministry said that the two sides were set to exchange their views on the situation in Africa, on the cooperation on the continent and on a number of regional issues of common interest.

The press service stressed that Russia and China were important partners on Africa and the Chinese side was ready to enhance its ties with the international community, including Russia, and contribute to the continent's development.
