Putin, Modi to Adopt Joint Statement After Talks - Kremlin

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd October, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will adopt a joint statement after the talks scheduled for later this week, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said Tuesday.

The Russian president will arrive in India on Thursday, for an official two-day visit.

"The statement of the two leaders that will be adopted after the end [of the talks] has now been practically agreed upon," Ushakov told reporters.

According to the Kremlin aide, 23 joint documents are being prepared for signing. Some of them will be signed in the presence of the two leaders, while some others will be signed on the sidelines of the summit.

Ushakov also said that Putin and Modi would have an informal dinner to discuss the international issues.

"The president arrives and on late October 4 an informal dinner will be held, it will last for two-three hours. During the dinner the parties will have an informal exchange of opinions about international and bilateral issues," Ushakov said.

He added that on Friday Putin would participate in a business forum, meet with Indian bright children as well as Indian President Ram Nath Kovind.
