Grade-20 officer steals Kuwaiti delegate’s belongings, video goes viral

The Kuwaiti delegation was on a four-day visit of Pakistan to co-chair 4th Round of Pakistan-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 29th September, 2018) The picture of the grade-20 officer who stole the belongings of a Kuwaiti official who attended a meeting in the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) has been revealed.

In an embarrassing situation for the country, a grade-20 officer of Economic Affairs Division (EAD) on Friday stole expensive bag and wallet of a senior member of Kuwaiti delegation during a meeting at the EAD.

The Kuwaiti delegation was on a four-day visit of Pakistan to co-chair 4th Round of Pakistan-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission.

On the second day of Pak-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission meeting on Friday, a senior member of the visiting delegation complained of missing his suitcase and wallet from the conference room.

The situation was embarrassing for the high officials of Pakistani government who were present in the meeting.

Later, Secretary EAD Ghazanfar Abbas Gilani ordered for searching of valuables of the visiting delegation’s member. With the help of security cameras, a senior official Zarar Haider of Grade 20 was found involved in the matter. Pakistani officials have apologised to the Kuwaiti delegation and returned the suitcase and wallet. However, the delegation reportedly left the conference in irate.

Later, the EAD high officials decided to lodge a case against the official.

The video of the grade-20 officer stealing the Kuwaiti delegate's wallet is now going viral on social media.
