US Senate Judiciary Committee Votes to Confirm Supreme Court Nominee Kavanaugh
The US Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday voted in favor of the confirmation of US President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th September, 2018) The US Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday voted in favor of the confirmation of US President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The final vote was 11 to 10 along party lines.
However, Republican Senator Jeff Flake said he would only vote in favor of Kavanaugh if the vote in the full US Senate were delayed by a week in order to have an Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) probe into allegations against the nominee.
