Pussy Riot Activist Verzilov Says 'Relatively Conscious'

Pyotr Verzilov, an activist of Pussy Riot punk rock band and of Voina ("War") art collective, said on Tuesday that for the last three days he had been "relatively conscious," after he was hospitalized earlier this month.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th September, 2018) Pyotr Verzilov, an activist of Pussy Riot punk rock band and of Voina ("War") art collective, said on Tuesday that for the last three days he had been "relatively conscious," after he was hospitalized earlier this month.

Verzilov was hospitalized earlier in September in Russia after he began to lose sight, speech and started to have difficulty moving.

The activist was then moved to Germany, where the doctors said he exhibited poisoning symptoms that could be caused by a wide range of factors, including, among others, pharmaceutical or recreational drugs.

"[I have] only been relatively conscious these last three days, and before that, for 12 days, [I have felt] like in a black hole," Verzilov wrote on Twitter.

The activist thanked everyone who contacted him while he was feeling sick.
