Turkish President to Visit Moldova on October 17-18 - Gagauz Authorities
CHISINAU (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th September, 2018) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Moldova including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Gagauzia's General Department of External Relations said.
"President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make an official visit to Moldova on October 17-18, as part of which he will also visit the Gagauz Autonomy.
The date of the visit of the Turkish president to Moldova has been finally agreed via diplomatic channels between the two countries," the department said in a statement, as quoted by the Gagauzinfo.ru media outlet.
Erdogan will visit Chisinau and Comrat, administrative center of Gagauzia.
Gagauzia is an autonomous region mainly populated by the Turkic-speaking Gagauzes, who have close historic ties with Turkey.
