Minister of Climate Change opens Middle East Stone Exhibition

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 04th Sep, 2018) Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, on Tuesday officially inaugurated the middle East region’s premier B2B event for the natural stone, marble and ceramics industry.

Welcoming recognised industry brand Names from around the world, Dr. Thani Al-Zeyoudi toured the exhibition and met many company representatives who have gathered in Dubai for the three-day exhibition, which runs until Thursday, 6th September, at Dubai world Trade Centre.

Dr. Al-Zeyoudi, commended the organisational level of the exhibition and the modernity of the technologies it comprises. He stressed that in the framework of the guidance of the wise leadership, the UAE has witnessed amazing developments and has become a world-class exhibition centre and a global trade hub, linking East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

"The fourth session of the exhibition and the accompanied conference comes as a global recognition of the UAE’s important geographical location and to promote the stone and marble industry in support of the already active investments in the real estate and the infrastructure sectors in the region in general and the UAE in particular, with mega infrastructure projects such as Expo 2020," he said.

He pointed out that the construction industry, including stone, cement, marble and ceramics, is one of the important pillars of the national economy, so the country pays great attention to this sector and its sustainability, where several steps and procedures have been taken to organise all industrial activities to minimize environmental impact and ensure sustainability.

Providing decision makers in the construction industry with a unique opportunity to reach a number of organisations and professionals under one roof, Middle East Stone is the largest annual trade exhibition for the region’s natural stone, marble and ceramics industry.
