Egypt's Ministry of Interior foils attack on North Sinai checkpoint; kills four terrorists
Egyptian Ministry of Interior said that the police have killed four terrorists who attempted to carry out an attack on a security checkpoint on the coastal highway of North Sinai's El-Arish.
CAIRO, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2018) Egyptian Ministry of Interior said that the police have killed four terrorists who attempted to carry out an attack on a security checkpoint on the coastal highway of North Sinai's El-Arish.
A ministry statement said that the attackers were armed with heavy weapons, including a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.
Some of the terrorists involved in the attack managed to flee the scene, leaving behind 10 explosive charges that they had planned to use in the attack.
The attackers left behind four automatic weapons, 30 magazines, a number of RPG missiles, three explosive belts, a camera, a Motorola communication device and hand grenades, according to the statement.
