UK Crime Agency Says Discovered Suspected Gun Factory in East Sussex

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd August, 2018) The UKs National Crime Agency (NCA) said Wednesday that it had discovered an alleged gun factory in East Sussex.

"National Crime Agency investigators have discovered what they believe to be a sophisticated gun factory on an industrial estate in Hailsham, East Sussex," the NCAs statement reads.

The officers also arrested three men on the site, seizing two handguns and ammunition.

"That search has taken several days, but officers have found what they suspect to be machinery and components used in the criminal manufacture of firearms and ammunition, including a number of handguns in various stages of production, as well as what appears to be templates and metal for use in their fabrication," the NCA said.

Head of the NCAs National Firearms Threat Centre Rob Hickinbottom was quoted as saying that the NCAs operation seemed to have found a group of people engaged in the criminal production of firearms, and did not let a large amount of arms to get to the black market and criminals.
