BAE Systems Wins $146Mln Deal to Modernize Guided Missile Cruiser Gettysburg - Pentagon
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st August, 2018) BAE Systems has received a more than $146 million contract to modernize the US Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser Gettysburg, the Department of Defense said in a news release.
"BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair [of] Norfolk, Virginia is awarded a $146,342,267 firm-fixed-price contract for the execution of USS Gettysburg fiscal 2018 modernization period availability," the release said on Monday.
The contract will cover combination of maintenance, modernization and repair work on the Gettysburg, the Defense Department explained.
BAE will provide the facilities and human resources capable of completing, coordinating and integrating multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair and modernization, the release said.
