Election tickets: Protesters bar Umrah-returned Imran Khan from entering Bani Gala

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 14th June, 2018) The car of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was stopped outside Bani Gala as he returned home after performing Umrah with his wife.

The PTI workers belonging to Buner staged a protest and chanted slogans of “Give respect to ideological workers”.

According to media reports, the PTI had come to Bani Gala after performing Umrah on Thursday where he was welcomed with enraged party workers from Buner.

The protesters said that they will continue to stage a sit-in outside Bani Gala until the party awards a ticket to them.

The PTI chairman could only enter his house after assuring them of election tickets.

The PTI issued its list of election tickets last week. However, the awarding of tickets set a new controversy as the party awarded tickets to turncoats and electable instead of PTI’s ideological workers.

Considering the unfair distribution of tickets, the enraged PTI workers held a protest outside Bani Gala.
