Deal struck between PPP, PMLN over caretaker prime minister

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 22nd May, 2018) A deal has reportedly been made between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to finalize the name of caretaker prime minister.

According to media reports, the caretaker prime minister will be from PPP. A deal has been struck between the two parties in this regard.

In order to maintain democracy in the country and not derail it, the two parties have made a silent agreement just like the previous ‘democracy deal’. The previous deal was signed by Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif in London while this agreement has been signed by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah upon directions by Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

Prime Minister Abbasi will be bound to agree to the name given by PPP as Nawaz Sharif has given Abbasi the duty to increase relations with the PPP.

In the first episode of this episode, PPP will appoint their caretaker prime minister.

The PPP had suggested two Names for caretaker prime minister yesterday. These include former ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani and former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf.

PPP co-chairman Zardari separately called these two candidates and said that your names have been suggested on the basis of hard work and honesty. These people have given many services in economy, banking and administrative matters.

According to media sources, the names suggested by PPP were decided by Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.

The caretaker setup will take over once the ruling PMLN government completes its tenure on May 31.
