Says she is in touch with t local authorities making efforts to make Sabika's last journey back home as soon as possible

Texas (Pakistan Point News – 19th May, 2018) Pakistan’s Consul General in Houston Aisha Farooqui expressed her grief over Sabika’s death.

In her message, she said, “The Consulate of Pakistan in Houston shares the grief and sense of loss of Mr Aziz Sheikh and his family on the tragic death of their 17-year-old daughter Sabika at Sante Fe today.”

She said that she has been in touch with the family and the local authorities and would make all efforts to make Sabika's last journey back home as soon as possible with safety and dignity.

She said that Sabika’s dead body will be returned to Pakistan after completing formalities within one or two days, adding that the reason for delay is that there is no direct flight from Houston to Pakistan.

Ten people, mostly students, were killed when a 17-year-old classmate armed with a shotgun and a revolver opened fire in a Texas high school on Friday, in the latest deadly school shooting to hit the United States.

Those among killed included a Pakistani student who was in Texas on Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study program. Sabika was to come back to Pakistan around Eid.
